New London Twp. has John Hendryx and his wife having the first birth in that twp. on 29 Feb 1816, a son. John M. Hendryx d. abt 03(08?) Aug 1837(1835?) age 37 y, his wife was Eunice d. 05 Sep 1863 age 57. This is the information given in our cemetery book. Of course these are old stones and may have been misread. If there are any wills of Hendryx, maybe names would be listed. This child of John & Eunice Hendryx is reported to have died after only a few months. It appears from a written story that there was a Benjamin Hendryx who had a son William Hendryx. They were established here before 1816 in the Clarksfield/New London area. I think William d. around 24 Mar 1904. There is some info at the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidental Library in Fremont on Hendryx's. The death index can be viewed online, no charge. Copies can be obtained for a fee if you see something that may be helpful; Shirley Hazelwood
