A Jabez Geer family is listed in the 1840 census for Huron Co. Ohio and according to the Geer Genealogy 1991 lived in Fairfield. Daughter Lora K. Gere married Marcus Foot in Huron Co. 11 June 1837 and son William E. Gear married Mary Schenck in Huron Co. 28 December 1845. Any further information about these individuals and families would be greatly appreciated. Are there family histories or county histories or books of county families that might shed more light on the situation? What churches were in operation in the Fairfield area between 1835 and 1846? Might there be church records? Many thanks.
