He was born 14 Aug 1914 in Newark, Ohio and died 15 Feb 1953 in the VA Hospital in Cleveland. He was admitted 2 days prior to his death. The cause of death was metastatic carcinoma of the lungs with atelectasis. A contributing cause was carcinoma of the stomach.
