Trevor,

James and Jane Allan are buried in Delphi Cemetery. This is a small family cemetery, originally located on the farm of Sheldon Jones. There are only 24 recorded burials in the cemetery, and almost all are Jones family relatives. The cemetery is located south of U.S. Route 224, less than 1/4 mile west of New State Road.

The Allan family members buried here are as follows:

James M. Allan (father)
died July 22,1871, age 61 years 3 months 19 days
Grave has a GAR marker

Jane Allan (mother) W/O James Allan
died April 9,1886, 69 years 6 months 23 days

William W. Allan
1847 - 1923

That is a complete list of Allan burials in this cemetery. If you are not aware, the GAR marker on James grave would indicate that he was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. This was a fraternal organization of Union veterans of the Civil War. Tracing James Civil War record may provide further information. Good Luck!!

Richard
