Robert Morton> Sheriff of Huron County in the 1830's

I am trying to find information on Robert Morton. From what I have learned, he was the Sheriff in Huron County in the 1830's. Here is what I do know:

He was born in 1793 in Maine according to the censuses. He died in Huron County on Feb 16, 1857 in Norwalk according to the obituary index at the Rutherford B. Hayes library.

He was married twice. The first one to a lady named Betsey who died on March 5, 1842 and the second wife named Ann Maria Ivory who died on May 25, 1854. Both wives are in the St Paul Episcopal Cemetery.

I don't know of any of his children except for a daughter that he had with his first wife, Betsey. The baby's name is Thankful D. Morton and is buried in the St. Paul Episcopal Chruch Cemetery. He had at least three children with Anna Ivory

I was wondering if any one had any family tied to this man. I would love to know about his career and any other children. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. Blessings.

P.S. Can anyone tell me if Huron County has death records as far back as 1857?
