If you could scan and email a copy of the excerpt about William H. Runyan and William West leaving for the war, it would verify that they were stepbrothers.
I would certainly appreciate that.
I will check the census records to see what I can find for Ashland County, and also the Genealogical Society in Norwalk to see what data they might have.
Is the son Charles, the telegraph operator, the son of George W Runyan or Nathanial?
I think maybe the M. B. who had his garden swept away might have been Myron.
