Thanks Phill for your offer. I made a trip to Huron County about a month ago and didn't find anything. The woman in the probate office (I wish I could remember her name) was very helpful in my search.

I have not figured out what took Harry and Charlotte NEWCOMER to Willard. They were married in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1902 and were back in York County, Pennsylvania for the 1910 census. I also have Mary's birthplace as Pennsylvania. On my trip to Huron County I learned that Willard was a big railroad center. That's what I believe Harry and Charlotte to Willard.

Since I couldn't find Mary in any records in Huron County, the woman in the probate office offered a suggestion as to why she wasn't registered. During that period, births were recorded by a semi-annual visit by the assessor. It is possible that Harry and Charlotte moved after Mary was born but before the assessor made his next visit.

I am planning a visit to York County next month and will continue my quest.

Thanks again Phill for your offer.
