I note in your posts that you have both Mackey and Macky spelling in your line. My husband's McKee are also shown as Macky and Mackey at various locations. For instance, on the 1804 Wilson Co TN Tax List as:
AMBROS MACKY of Capt Cannon's District
HENRY MACKY of Capt George Clark's District
SAMUEL MACKY of Capt Samuel Rosborough's District
ROBERT MACKEY of Capt Crawley's District
DANIEL MACKEY also of " " " "
I note you are searching given name Andrew MacKey (and you say you also see yours as MACKY) and there are a number of given name Andrew McKee, also given name ELIAS McKee, in the Mecklenburg Co NC area McKee from ca 1750 thru first quarter and beyond of 1800's. Of course, many John, James, William, Samuel etc McKee / Mackey / McKie etc given names also in the earliest Anson and Rowan Co area of NC.
In one of your posts you mention 3 brothers MacKey entering NC about 1751. Quote from your message:
""""""father of william might be andrew; since then i found that andrew was my line with what seems to be 2 andrews behind him, bringing me close to the entry to nc. of 3 brothers in 1751, which i thought was probably my line as well as i thought william was also suppose to be my line. that story on records had william going to pa. would like to know some of their history . my records on family trees, seemed to be taken or lost from my home.""""""""
Do you have any information you can share about your MacKey / MACKY and their entry into NC 1751? I would be interested in any records you have seen as MACKY.
Thanks, Linda McKee
