Seeking information on John J. Smith and possible brother, Joseph Smith, born ca 1809-1811 in New Jersey. Both lived in Marshall County, Indiana. Joseph arrived between 1850 and 1860, having moved from Killbuck Twp., Holmes Co., OH. He is no longer in Marshall Co. by 1880 census. John J. moved from Tiverton Twp., Coshocton Co., OH to Marshall Co., IN by 1870 via a short stopover in Jefferson Twp., Whitley Co., IN in 1860. He is still in Marshall Co. in 1880, but not in 1900. John's wife was Mary Ann, Joseph's was Lydia. (maiden names unknown) I'd appreciate hearing from anyone with information on either of these two families. John J. and Mary Ann are my gr-gr-gr grandparents through their son Joseph, b. ca 1833 in Ohio.
