Although I hope that this James Turner is not any relation, by the same token, he was responsible for his own actions, and I would not consider it a reflection on me. Do you know if there is a way to find out info on this from 161 years ago? I would think that prison records would somewhere have next of kin noted, etc.. It seems to me, when I first started my research years ago, I also found a James Turner that was also incarcerated in Columbus, Ohio, but was for 1st degree murder, and was around 1880 I believe. and was 70 years old. Do you by any chance know, if a person is incarcerated, would that person still be listed or named as head of household in the Federal Census? When I get back home, I will look for the record I told you about. Thank you for the research that you have done. I hope that you can find more.... (positive; please)
