Looking for addition information on Benjamin WOODS,born about 1840 Ward twp.Hocking Co.,Oh. Benjamin served in the Civil War,Company H.62nd OVI. He died 1912 Green twp.,Hocking Co.,Oh and is buried Soldiers Lot,Oak Grove Cemetery. Comrades Samuel Moore,G.W.Benadum,George Risley and Jas.Allen were his pall bearers.He leaves 3 sons and one daughter.Found Benjamin WOODS on the 1900 Hocking Co.,Oh.census,widowed,w/Jesse,Lewis,Frederick,Andrew,and Ethel M.WOODS,also stepson Rias WAYMER. Benjamin WOODS married Martha nee McDaniel,widow of Aaron WAMER w/2 sons George and Rias WAMER. Martha WOODS died 1900 Hocking Co.,Oh. Martha and Benjamin had 8 children together,only 5 living by her death in 1900,and her sons George and Rias WAMER. Benjamin WOODS can be found on the 1910 Hocking Co.,Oh. census w/wife #3 Hannah,married 9 yrs.and Lewis and Ethel M.WOODS. 1912 Hocking Co.,Oh. infirmary record,admitting Mrs.Hannah WOODS,Lewis,and Ethel M. Mrs.Hannah WOODS was later sent to Athens Hospital. Suspect Lewis died. Interesting,Benjamin's obit only mentions 3 sons,and one daughter. Suspect Benjamin WOODS had a brother Ephraim WOODS of Hocking Co.,Oh.who also served in the Civil War. Found Jesse WOODS of Logan,Oh. Fred WOODS of Vinton,Oh. Andrew WOODS (Sr.) of Lancaster,Oh. in later records. Believe these to be the remaining sons of Benjamin and Martha WOODS. Most interested in what happened to George WAMER b.1876 Athens Co.,Oh,son of Aaron WAMER and Martha. Rias WAMER /Jennie GLAZE July 25,1900 Hocking Co.,Oh. Jennie GLAZE was b.1878 Hocking Co.,Oh.,the daughter of George A.Glaze b.1826 Va.married #1 Mary A.Larimore 1851 #2 Eleanor L.Donaldson 1858,Hocking Co.,Oh. Sons George L.WAMER b.July 5,1901 and Fillmore H.Wamer b.1902 Hocking Co.,Oh. George A.Glaze was the son of Arehart GLAZE b.1789 Md.,married Jan.6,1814 Wood Co.,Va.and Sally DEPUTY b.1796 De. Arehart GLAZE died May 1880 Hocking Co.,Oh. Sarah aka Sally GLAZE died Sept.1881 Hocking Co.,Oh.Arehart GLAZE was the son of John /Johannes GLAZE b.1745 Pa. John GLAZE was the son of Erhardt GLAZE b.1708 Germany,arrived in Pa.1738. Arehart had brothers,John GLAZE (Jr.)b.1785 Va.died 1869 Highland Co.,Oh. Henry GLAZE b.1784 Va.died 1814 Licking Co.,Oh. George GLAZE b.1795 Md.died Pike Co.,Oh.
