I am looking for information regarding the following family:
1850 Ohio Census, Hocking CTY, Ward TWP. 13-Sept-1850 page 447 lines 14-23
James CARPENTER, male, age 49(?) born in New York, Farmer
Nancy,female, age 47 born in NY
Mercy L,female, age 23 born in NY
Louisa,female, age 20 born in NY
Elizabeth,female, age 18,born in NY
Huldah(?),female, age 14 born in NY
Sarah,female, age 11 born in NY
Oscar,male, age 9 born in NY
Nelson,male, age 7 born in Ohio
Phebe,female, age 3 born in Ohio
Can anyone help? Maybe some pointers on how to find information between 1842 and the time of this census? I am specifically trying to determine if James Elizar Carpenter was one of James and Nancy's children and if so, when he moved out. Also if you had an older brother named William.
James was born in New York in 1830 and William was born in 1824. I do know that James and Nancy (Cough) Carpenter were married in Fulton County, New York in 1823. Thanks, Jon Carpenter
