Gloria,

I think I have a solution to your request. I found your listed Altavista Location and it does indeed say that Downard is in Hocking Co.. However, the GPS listing does NOT correspond with Hocking Co. In fact, the GPS listing is for the Downard in Jackson Co.. Looks like there is a data entry error. At one time, Hocking Co. did go further south than it is now, but I don't believe it went that far south. If you want to check out GPS locations, try the following www.topozone.com and type in the place, in this case Downard, OH. At the bottom of the topo map that comes up you can switch it to d/m/s and the cursor will show the different values on the Task Bar. Hope this helps.
