Dear Joann,
I just hapen to be copying some old tax records for the county records department. The book I am working on now is the tax records for 1836. Listed in Salt Creek Township is Frederick Loy, He owned one sawmill, and 150 acres in range 19, Twonship 11 (Salt Creek), section 12.
He parid $1.39 taxes. He is also listed as haveing 4 horses, value 160, and 4 cattle, value 32. He paid $2.16 taxes for these.

The only Loy death record is for Susan Loy, in the indes for 1867-1873.
Hope this helps somewhat. Kay Wilson
