Looking for connections: Norman Hamblin Sr. arrived in Hocking County about 1830. Wife: Louisa Hull; children: Jacob, Elizabeth, Diantha, Norman Jr., Roxania, Elijah.
Norman Sr. and Jr. left for Illinois about 1866. Other Hamblins (children and/or other relatives) remained in Ohio.
Unidentified 'E. Hamblin' was treasurer of Hocking County during the Civil War, but Norman's son Elijah was born in 1842 and so I suspect he was too young to be this person.
Does anyone have information on Hamblin connections in Hocking, or the identity of the treasurer E. Hamblin?
