Hi - this is a long shot but some of your information parallels mine - I'm looking for a family with a father born in Virginia (or West Virginia) in 1825 and a mother born in Pennsylvania in 1827. They were married - somewhere and were living in Pickaway County from 1849 to 1861. After that they disappear. One son moved back to Ohio by 1872 and one may have been in Nebraska.
Do you know where in Virginia and Pennsylvania your families came from? Do you know when they moved to Ohio - and by any chance by what route? Where were they married in Hocking County?
My thought is that there could have been a group of families who moved together and your information might help me out in my search (I also reciprocate and try to help out in return). Thanks for any information. Vicki
