FATE OF OLD TAPPAN CEMETERY ??
Posted by: Michael Kagay (ID *****1960) Date: August 22, 2011 at 09:55:21

What was the fate of the cemetery at Tappan (Franklin village) when the town was demolished and flooded in the 1930s to form Lake Tappan reservoir? The current Tappan Cemetery seems far too small to hold 100 years of burials from the former village. Were the stones moved? Could they all be at the bottom of the reservoir?
