Saw your Query. My ggg-grandmother was Jane Lyons Smith the wife of Alexander Smith. All I have for her was that she was born in Pennsylvania, 2/22/1793 and died 9/8/1829. My gg-grandfather was sent to Ripley Co., Indiana and was raised by Alexander's brother Thomas Smith after Janes death. I have a hunch that John and Jane may be brother and sister as Alexander and Jane were farming in Cadiz, Harrison Co., Oh.. I believe that her father was William Lyons born in Ballyrashane, Ireland on 11/15/1755 and died bet 1832-1833 and that he married Margaret Gibson born about 1760, marriage 1782.
