I have been "stuck" in Harrison Co, OHio for a long time and wonder if the reference you give would help me. My great grandfather, Samuel Hennis married Matilda Swallow and living in Short Creek. I can find nothing on Samuel's parents. I know, from family history, that Matilda's mother was a Hart, and that she was born in England. I have found a Mary Hart, about the right age, living in New Athens twp on the 1870 census, who was born in England, and was about the right age, but couldn't connect them. I think Matilda's father was born in Ohio, and Samuel's parents were both born in Pa. Do you think the book you mention would help me?

Thanks,
Randy Hennis
