I am researching the Nathaniel WILLIAMSON and Serena DAVIS family, as well as the Ellis MCFARLAND and Eliza BARLOW.
My Ancestor was Ida Jane WILLIAMSON born 12 Mar 1856, Hardin Co. Ohio. She married 29 Mar 1883, Kenton, Hardin Co to George Hamilton MCFARLAND born 23 Apr 1858. Ida Jane (WILLIAMSON) MCFARLAND died 8 May 1887. Their children were: Elmo M. MCFARLAND born 1883, and Ethel Mae (MCFARLAND) FLENNIKEN born 1884, Kenton, Hardin Co. Ida Jane (Williamson) McFarland and George Hamilton McFarland are buried in the Grove Cemetery in Kenton. George H. McFarland died in 28 Mar 1938, Milwaukee, WI.
George Hamilton MCFARLAND's father was Ellis MCFARLAND born abt 1830, Ohio, died 1 Apr 1864, Annapolis, Maryland, from sickness being a prisoner of war during the Civil War. He was in the Union, 45 Reg. OVI Company I. Captured in Philadelphia, TN. His mother was Elizabeth "Eliza" BARLOW, the daughter of James Robert BARLOW and Sarah (BOYLES) BARLOW of Union County, OH and later of Hardin County.
