Nt sure exactly what you are stumped on. Obit mentions names of parents as max STANDAN and Caroline.
Going backwards from there, I looked for Max in the 1910 census. Found him with wife, Carrie in Sycamore township, Hamilton county, Ohio. 2 year old daugher, Elsa c. was with them.
In the 1920 census we have Max, age 35, Carrie, age 35, kids, William, 8, richard, age 5, and Edna, age 1 month.
In the 1930 there is Max, Carrie, Richard, Edna and what I am thinking is "Janice" written very illegibly, age 4 years, 10 months.
Also looks like Max and Carrie had a daughter, Elsie who was born march 2, 1908 in Lockland on June 25, 1927. She is buried in Vine St. Hill Cemetery. mom Carrie's middle name is listed as HERTER. Under cause of death, it says, "inquest pending".
At the time he filled out his WWI draft registration in 1912 Max says he was born in Berlin, Germany on October8, 1884. He worked for Richardson paper Company.
Hope this helps,
Sally
