Hi!
I looked up Bernard VERDIN and in the CITY of Hamilton, which is in the COUNTY of BUTLER, there has been a Bernard VERDIN listed. They have him listed as being born August of '56 which is very close to the "about" date you gave.
I have emailed the county coroner in Monroe, Indiana, and gave them this info, along with the addresses and phone numbers listed for this guy in Hamilton, should they choose to follow up on it.
It is currently 11:26p.m. Eastern Standard Time, so I didn't want to call the Hamilton Police not knowing if it's a station I would be calling with people there 24/7, or waking the police chief out of a slumber at his house, so I will call in the morning to see if maybe there has been a missing persons report filed for Bernard, and let them know if there has, that the Monroe County Coroner may be able to help them.
Let us know how this turns out, if you have the time.
-Sally
