I did a quick search of census records and found a James Whited in the 1920 census. He was 62 and had been born in Tennessee. At that time he was living on Este Ave. in Ward 26. I'm not sure where that was. Perhaps if this is the right person, someone else could give you that information. He was not listed in the 1900 or 1910 censuses, but perhaps the name was listed incorrectly in the census.
