I am searching for descendants of Matthew Law, who came from Pennsylvania and settled in Guernsey County in the early 1800s. He died in Londonderry Township in 1836 and is buried in McCoy's Cemetery with his wife, Sarah Collins, who died in 1839. She likely was born in Delaware.

According to Matthew's will, there were 9 children -- John, Thomas, Nancy,Eleanor, Matthew Jr., Henry, James, Francis Marmaduke and William, all born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. My research suggests the following:

John born about 1780, married Jane (Marsh?) and had nine children -- Matthew, John Waterman, Issac, Martin Luther, Nancy, Mary, Feby (spelling in will) Jane, Ann and Sarah Eleanor. He died between Dec. 11, 1840 (date of his will) and March 15, 1841 (date the will was probated)

Thomas, born March 5, 1782, married Ann and had son Thomas J. (I'm sure there were more). Family notes say Thomas died April 20, 1874 in Monroe County Ohio and Ann died March 20, 1864 in Washington County, Ohio. Thomas is buried in Hopewell Methodist Church cemetery.

Nancy, born October 25, 1786, married George Anderson and had 10 children -- Margaret, Thomas, Jane, John, Sarah, Eliza, George, James, Lewis Eliot and Nancy. Family notes say Nancy died June 3, 1856 in Londonderry Township, Guernsey County and George died August 1855 in the same township. Both are buried in McCoy's cemetery.

Eleanor, born about 1790, married Jacob Lewton about 1810 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Eleanor died about 1844 in Carrol County, Ohio; Jacob died November 21, 1877.

Matthew Jr., born about 1796, married Nancy Delany (?) and had two children -- Sarah and John (I'm sure there were more). No other information.

Henry (my ggg grandfather), born December 9, 1797, married Content Hadsell March 4, 1819 in Guernsey County and had seven children -- Joseph Hadsell, William, Francis, George, Else, Matthew (my gg grandfather) and Caroline. Henry died June 18, 1876 in Flora, Clay County, Illinois; Content died January 7, 1875 in the same place. She is buried in the Flora city cemetery. I assume he is too.

James, born July 17, 1800, married Sarah Watkins November 19, 1829 in Guernsey County and had 11 children -- Sarah E., Matilda Collins, James W., Kesiah, Nancy Ellen, Mary Ann, John Henry, Joseph, Lavina, Laura A. and Matilda H. James died December 7, 1878 in Cloud County, Kansas, and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Clyde, Cloud County. Sarah died July 7, 1904 in the same county and is buried in the same cemetery.

Francis Marmaduke, born about 1802, married Sarah February 15, 1826 and had six children -- Margaret, Benjamin T., Eliza S., John, Francis M. and Nancy E. No death or burial information on Francis or Sarah.

William, born about 1804. No information on children, death dates or burial.

Can anyone help fill in the blanks?

Thank you.
