Hi...I don't know if this is any help or not, but I thought I would pass it along! I'm not related...just snooping..LOL.

From The Athens Messenger, Athens, Ohio dated November 13, 1928
"Receives Word of John Davis' Death"
Mrs. Pete Schneider, of 50 East Lincoln Street, Columbus, has received word of the death of John Davis, of Gassaway, W. Va.
Mrs. Davis was a former Vinton County girl, who before her marriage was Ida Tyo, of Zaleski. The late Albert Tyo, of Doanville, was a brother.
Mrs. Schneider is an aunt of Mrs. Davis, but was unable to attend the funeral on account of the serious illness of Mrs. Lydia Rearley (sp?) a niece, who is being cared for by Mrs. Schneider at her home.
