Hello Sue
The information on the Waller was from the LDS site, were trying to find a possible connection of the Vance line to the Waller line.
We had recently taken a trip from California to Cambridge to find the burial place for Cyrus Vance. We found his grave in a small Cemetery called the Waller Cemetery aka High Hill Cemetery in Cambridge, Guernsey Co. Ohio. Cyrus died 1877, near Cyrus there are 3 Waller headstones, one is of Margaret, wife of Samuel Waller died 1878.
We're trying to find other family connections, Cyrus's parents and birth place. We're reserching the migration patterns of all surnames who lived near Cyrus, and for those individuals who served in the same Civil War 62nd Infantry Ohio, Company G as Cyrus Vance. Cyrus born 1808 in Virginia, married in 1830 to Catherine Evilsizer in Guernsey, was on the 1830 Census for Jackson Twp. Guernsey. Married Minerva Davis 1831 in Harrison Co. VA (now WV) had several children born in PA, then listed on the 1850 Census for Richland Twp. Guernsey Co. Ohio as a Wagoner and now married to Hannah M. Then served in the 62nd Infantry Ohio, Company G. Have you any listings for any marriages between Waller and Vance? deb
