Paul, found your reference to John Duncan being married to Mary (Jane) Karr. Mary Jane Karr was born in Coshocton County in 1836 and, according to our family history, married John Duncan October 2, 1856. Mary Jane's parents (Robert and Mary Endsley Karr) are my gggrandparents. I have a lot of information about John and Mary Jane Duncan's descendants if you are interested (I couldn't access the Robert Duncan link on your website, so don't know if you have this information or not).

After reading your message, I went to your Iowa website and discovered something especially interesting - at least to me (maybe you already know this). You have a McKeown family listed. William H. McKeown (7th son of Alexander) is shown as marrying Nancy J. Tidrick. Nancy is the daughter of Robert and Mary Karr Tidrick. This Mary Karr Tidrick is the sister of Robert Karr referenced above (my gggrandfather), who is the father of Mary Jane Karr Duncan.

I'm especially excited about finding this information on one of the Tidricks because we have very little information on this family beyond Robert and Mary Karr Tidrick. We did not have the first name of Nancy's husband or where they lived, only that Nancy's children were named Mary (who married a Samuel Orr) and James.

I would be most happy to exchange information with you.
