Tim,
I have a portion of the book
Harshman-Hashman-Hershman-Herman
Vol 1
by Col. C.C.Harshman
Mrs. Mavourneen Harshman Collaboration,2710 Cedar St,
Berkeley, Cal 94708 1976
a updated version of the Harshman Family by the late
Rev Charles W. Harshman pub 1932
I have pages 363-403 which include Harshman married to
my Eckman family.
It starts with John Harshman and Susannah Durnbaugh, He is
son of Christian 1, grandson of Matthias Ulrich Harshman. They went to Beavercreek, Greene Co, Ohio in 1807. His brothers, Jonathan and Phillip also came to Greene Co, Ohio.
Page 359 mentions that Jacob and Henry Harshman from Virginia, sons of Peter Harshman 1 who was a first cousin to
Christian 1, served in Capt Martin Shuey's company in the
war of 1812. This would make this Peter's father a brother
of Matthias Ulrich Harshman. Jacob later moved to Randolph
Co, In, Henry later moved to Clinton Co, In.
