Hi Carolyn,
I have been researching the Norman's history for about 3 years now. My third great grandfather John Norman was born in Derbyshire, England in 1803. His parents were Hannah and William Norman, william died when he was in his thirty and Hannah remarried to John Sims in Derbyshire. They all came over about 1811-1820 because John Norman bought his land in 1820. I have a lot of old photo's of the Norman's children. My mother is a Norman her name is Mary Ruth Norman she the daughter of John Milton Norman and Fannie Holt. Do you live in Gallia? I know there are more Norman's up their I would like to find out if they are related to me. Can I ask you howyou're related to me? Could you give me information on your side? Do you know about the Norman's bible? One of my uncle John Norman he named his daughter Carolyn.I came up to Gallia about a month ago to find the Norman's cemetery where my 3rd great grandfather was buried.
And I am happy to say I found his grave he was buried on his property. Please write me back Ilove to find new relative. Also, where I work their is a guy that was born in Portsmouth, Ohio and his last name is Norman's . He go home on weekends. I'm trying to connect him to my family tree.
Hope to hear from you soon! Would you happen to have any old photo's of the Norman's.Yes some of the Norman's were married to the Massie family.
Thanks,
Donna Hunter
