Michael -- thank you for your response. We have found my father in Gorham Township, just below Morenci, in the 1900 census. He was age twelve. My roadblock is that Dad said that he was born in HUDSON, Michigan on May 20, 1888. I have applied to Adrian County and Hillsdale County (personally visited both) and they cannot find record of his birth. My next step is to write to Fulton County to see if there is record in that county. Can you tell me to whom to write and give me an address? Most of my research to date has been centered in Hudson, Pittsford and Morenci. We visited the Fayette Library last year but found nothing -- that was before we found Dad in the 1900 census. Dad made things a little confusing for me because he used several places of birth on marriage and childrens' birth certificates. But we are closing in on his place of birth and will try Fulton County. Thanks again for listening to all of this. Appreciate your help.

Regards, Joandell
