William J. Meeks - Who were his parents?
Posted by: Daniel Aren Meeks Date: July 19, 2001 at 12:21:06

I am still searching for the father, mother and family of
William J. Meeks, born in Fairfield County, Ohio on 3/2/1800
and died in Fulton County, Ohio on 9/8/1875.

Does anyone have any information on Joshua Meeks or his family.

The history of Greenfield Township, Fairfield County, Ohio,
states that it was established in 1805 and Isaac Meason came
and settled there in 1799.

It gives other early settlers as John Meason,
Joseph Stewart, William McFarlin, Ralf Cherry,
Joshua Meeks, and Samuel Randall.

Joshua Meeks dies from, what was thought to be, yellow fever around 1802-1803.
