Folowin obits on page 6B of The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch on Wednesday, August 11, 1943:

EVANS--Henry Clay?/Oary? (sp?). age 77, of
1525 Clifton - Av. Survived by 4
daughters, Mrs. Bertha E. Herd, Mrs.
Ruth Cross, Mrs. Doris Edwards and
Miss Florence Evans; 3 sons, Clyde,
Ralph & Lawrence; 9? (unclear) grandchil-
dren; 3? (unclear) Brothers, 7 sisters. Veteran
of 50?/58? (unclear) years for Pennsylvania Rail-
Road. Member of Columbus Lodge
F & A M and Mentor Lodge
K of P. Friends may call at the
Moody & Straley Funeral Home after
4 p. m. Wednesday, where services
will be held Thursday, 2:20 p. m.
Burial Eastlawn.

HARTMAN--Mrs. Grace Peters,
age 61, died at Grant Hospital, Tues-
day, P. M. Survived by 1 sister, Mrs.
Flora Brossman; 3 brothers, Charlie,
Bert and Newton Peters; nieces and
nephwes survive. Funeral services
Friday, 2:30 p. m. fast? (meaning unclear?)time, at the
A. J. Hoit Co. Funeral Home,at
Commercial Point. Burial in Reber? (sp? - unclear)
Hill Cemetery.

JOHNSON--John Wesley, 474 E.
Mound-St. Beloved husband of Mrs.
Ida Johnson; father of Mrs. Ruth
Johnson Pettiford, Mr. Maurice
Smith, expired Tuesday. Friends may
call at the residence, Friday Evening.
Services will be conducted in UnionGrove Hospital Church, Saturday, 2
p. m. by Rev. M. A. Trier. Inter-\ment Evergreen Park by Mrs. D. A. Whittaker & Son.

JOHNSON--Robert Burns, 42
Tuesday morning at the home of
his sister, Mrs. Bart Looker
near Johnstown. Survived by wife, Mar-
garet; 1 son, Robert Burns, Jr.;
father, Frank Johnson; 2 brothers;
4 sisters. Funeral services Thurs-
day, 2 p. m., Johnstown Methodist
Church. Burial Green HillCemetery
