Since my original post dealt with the census I wonder what you may see about this family which has some similarities to my "known" family. These are the right first names for mother and father and the right name and age for the "only brother." And right name and age for my Charles Barnett Tolliver. I can't find this Falison family in any record except the 1850 census. They are not in any deed index I have seen or in a city directory or a marriage index. If you can see anything that would tend to confirm or negate that Falison is not Toliver that would be useful. Thank you so much for your help.

1850 US census, Columbus 5th ward, Franklin, Ohio, sheet 398, dwelling 164, family 189

Edward Falison age 30 – male - black – baker – real estate: 1000 – birthplace: VA
Martha               age 25 – female – black – birthplace: O
Susan               age 10 - female – black – birthplace: O
Paul               age 8 – male - black – birthplace: O
Virginia        age 2 - female – black – birthplace: O
Nancy               age 6/12 - female – black – birthplace: O
Barnett H.         age 3 – male – black – birthplace: O
