John Baker, d. 1845, Fayette Co. Ohio, wife Eve
Please help if you can.I am looking for the parents of Mary F. Baker who married Hamilton Green, Feb, 25, 1838 in Fayette county, Ohio. She was born Ohio, 1818.
I suspect that her father was John Baker, whose wife was named Eve in his will of 1845.I don't know if that Eve was the first or second wife of John. An Eve Baker is in the household of 1850 Census of William Harrison Sellers whose wife was Jane Baker
and in 1860 in the houshold of the young married daughter, of Mary and Hamilton Green, Charity. The Eve Baker owns the land.
In his will John Baker named Hamilton Green as one of the executors, but refers to him as a "worthy and esteemed freind, but not as a son-in-law. Mary (Baker) Green in later censuses states that her parents were from Va. In the 1850 Census the Eve Baker is noted as being born in Pa. (But as we all know sometimes, the hanwritten Pa and Va look every similar.)
I appreciate any ideas or suggestions on this.
