Genealogy researching my 5th.-Great-Grandfather-JAMES SHORT in Union Twp.Fayette County,Ohio he was born on Oct. 7th. 1756 in Virginia moved to Mercer County,Kentucky then on to Union twp. Ross County,Ohio before moving on to settle and die in Union Twp. Fayette County,Ohio on Dec. 12th. 1836. and is burried at the Short Cemetery North on Bogus Rd. 1.4 miles North of St. Rt. 22 in Union Twp. Fayette County,Ohio.His first wife died in Union Twp.Ross County,Ohio where he married his second wife REBECCA (COOPER) WALKER on Jan. 13th.1825 before moving on to Union Twp.Fayette County,Ohio. I came down through his daughter and her husband MARY"POLLY" (SHORT) WALKER & THOMAS WALKER (my 4th.-Great-Grandparents)who moved on from Ohio to Indiana then on to Crawford County,Illinois to settle and die. Thomas was also a Veteran of the American Revolutionary War.I would appreciate any information on the SHORT-WALKER or COOPER families.
