Seeking information about ancestors/descendants of David Templeton (1766-1838) and Mary Roinson (1775-1851), whose children included William Wallace Templeton (1809-1885)and whose wife was Jane McElroy (1817-1896), a daughter of Ebenezer McElroy (1791-1845) and Sarah Ghormley (1788-1871). I believe these families lived near the border of Highland county, and attended the Presbyterian church in Greenfield. A further note: I have heard that members of these families and also the Beatty family were involved with the Underground Railroad. Does anyone know anything about this possible connection? Thanks for any help you can give. Mary
