Hi Ginnie,
It looks like we are talking about the same family. Someone set me straight on the transcribed census records. Where I read foreign, the entries were supposed to be in the column "Agricultural". I am a descendent of Henry Snider and have learned a great deal more. Email me directly and we can exchange information, if you like. I have part of Henry's will. We have an interview with an Uncle Billie, son of Jacob Snider and Mary Caylor. Uncle Billie provides information that Jacob, Henry and William Snider of Ross and Fayette counties, Ohio were brothers. There is also a will for a William Snider of Loudoun, VA who looks like he could be the father of Jacob, Henry and William. William senior's wife's name is Catherine. Wonder if he was William John or John William? Anxious to compare notes and see if we can shed light on some mysteries.
