HAYS CEMETERY in Paint Twp.
Posted by: Janie Martin Whitty (ID *****0569) Date: July 13, 2002 at 14:32:47

Located in a field east of Prairie Road & just south of Hays Road.

What is left of this one is located in the middle of a pasture, the stones gathered up and piled in the middle around a large monument with a wooden fence around it. I have a photo of it, and 3 ARMSTRONG tombstones that were sent to me from someone who visted a few years ago and found it.

Does anyone know if this cemetery was every transcribed?

I couldn't even find it listed on most Cemetery lists for Fayette County - perhaps it was called something else in an earlier time?
