Hello I am Craig Campbell and am looking for any info. on Henry Duncan Campbell born May 31st, 1864 in Fayette County. I have come across papers sent to me by a aunt that lead me to believe that his father was John Campbell. The papers are for descendents of a son of John who is Joseph A. Campbell. Below is all of the information:
John Campbell born September 10th, 1817 and Anna Unknown was born August 14th, 1825. Anna died July 28th, 1864 in Fayette County, 2 months after Henrys birth. John remarried to a Deborah Unknown who was born Jan 29th, 1838. John died Jan.22nd, 1899 in Cass County and his 2nd wife Deborah also died there in late 1899.
The papers I have list as a son of John and Anna as Joseph A. Campbell born April 28th, 1853 possibly in Fayette county. Joseph A. Campbell married Martha M. Vincent who was born January 26th, 1852 in Fayette County. Joseph and Martha were married Jan. 1st, 1874 in Fayette County, by a Reverend Kountz. There first 4 children were born in Fayette County Jesse 1874....Annie L. 1876....Albert H. 1878??......Ethel W. 1880. After 1880 the family went to Cass County, Missouri.
I believe Henry Duncan Campbell is also a son of John Campbell as he was married in 1884 in Cass County to Nettie Morrison and had 12 children all born in Cass County or neighboring counties of Cass.
It appears that this particular "Campbell Clan" went from Ohio to Missouri together and I'm looking for any clues that will link Henry Duncan Campbell as a brother of Joseph A. Campbell and a son of John Campbell.
Thank You Craig S. Campbell
