Thomas Davis (1811) married Sarah McGinnis (1811) on May 28, 1835 in Fairfield County, Ohio
Their children all born in Fairfield County, Ohio: Wesley Perry (1839-1923); Marcus Whitcome (1844-1910); and Jerod Newton (1847-1924);1850, 1860 & 1870 US Census in Fairfield County, Ohio
The boys are then found in the 1880 US Census in Union Twp, Licking County, Ohio (I have all the info after their move to Hebron).
I have a very, very old piece of paper with a tree drawn on it with family names (from my great grandmother - Jessie Helen (Davis) Comisford.)Says great grandfather McGinnis came from Ireland, his children Sam McGinnis (according to Sarah in the Census - he was born in PA, as was she).Says Sam had one child, but I found where the boys went to the funeral of their Aunt Julia Ann (McGinnis) Wagner.Found where she married John Wagner on May 23, 1851 in Fairfield County, OhioJulia was born in Dumontville, Fairfield County, Ohio on July 26, 1823???I think, unless she were a Davis and had a previous marriage to a McGinnis - I don't know???She died on September 2, 1901 in Fairfield County, Ohio.
The Tree says Thomas Davis great grandfather came from Wales.Thomas died sometime before 1860, not listed on the 1860 US Census.Sarah died sometime after 1870, not listed on the 1880 US Census.Their is a Thomas Davis listed in the 1850 US Census for Greenfield Twp, Fairfield County, Ohio born in 1790 in Wales, but I don't know if this is the father of my Thomas???I also found a sister to Thomas - Harriett. She married a George Studer on September 10, 1846 in Fairfield County, Ohio. She then married a Adam G. McNamee on August 21, 1864.She died on May 5, 1905 in Thurston, Fairfield County, Ohio.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bill
