Orphanage near Sandusky

I'm trying to solve a mystery. Bettie Tylee Holland is said to have been adopted by George Holland and his wife (name unknown, may have been Matie G.). Bettie was born January 15, 1911 in Cleveland, Ohio and died June 2, 1949 in Ingham County, Michigan. Her married name was Bullen. I may have found her at age 19 in the 1930 census living as the daughter of George B. Holland and Matie G. Holland in Pasadena, California. Other than that I have no idea who her natural parents would be. She is said to have been adopted from an orphanage in Sandusky, Ohio.

I find it curious that her middle name is Tylee and hope that has some significance. Perhaps her name was Bettie Tylee and when adopted by George Holland, he let her keep her given name. George is 68 years old and Matie is 58 in the 1930 census while Bettie is 19. That would mean that she was adopted after George was 49 years old. This seems fairly old to have been adopting your first and only child.

Does anyone know of an orphanage near Sandusky in the early 1900's.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
