You might want to take a look for your Humphrey's down around the Washington County, Ohio area. There were some who were early settlers there. Isaac Humphrey lived in Warren Twp. He could have a connection to your Humphrey in Licking Co., Ohio, because some of these early settlers who were considered squaters (abt. 1800) removed to Liberty Twp., Delaware Co., Ohio and also Licking Co., Ohio.
