Isaac was about fifty-six years old when he married Rebecca who was about eighteen. I do not question that she was old enough to have given birth to Cyrus 1831; Loretta 1837; Savilla 1839 and Seaborn in 1843. There may have been a birth between Cyrus and Loretta. Isaac was a brother to my gr-gr-grandfather so I know a great deal about this Mason family and have been gathering info for over fifty years, long before computers. Isaac was married in PA, wife's name still unkown, and they had eleven children. This is why I am not convinced that Rebecca was a second wife of Isaac and could very easily have been the wife of a son. If only a descendant of one of Rebecca's children would come forward with a written record to prove that she was indeed a second wife to Isaac, I would be thrilled. I cannot find an estate record or will for Isaac but there are a couple of unsigned wills or estates that could be his. Since I live on the west coast, I have to rely on snail mail to the depositories in Ohio. He lived in Monroe Twp., Licking Co., OH for at least 28 years and probably closer to 30 years so he is most likely buried in that township. Yes, Rebecca (Crow) Mason married Charles Coppedge, 24 Sept 1860 in Delaware Co., OH. He the son of John & Mary (Downman) Coppedge and was born 9 Feb 1785. Charles died 13 Feb 1881. Isaac Mason probably died about 1844-45 and he would have been seventy-one years old. Very old for those days. Notify Administrator about this message?
