On 22 Dec 1902, Luther and Inez received a marriage license #358092 in South Chicago, Cook, IL.

Unfortunately, it has few facts other than he was 24 and she was 21. They were married 25 Dec 1902 by George H. BIRD, a clergyman. The pastor signed the marriage certificate as George H. Bird, Pastor Cong'l. Church.

The 1900 Chicago census, actually in Hyde Park, shows a George Bird as a pastor but the church is not named. See PANEL #19 at http://www.uchpeace.org/index.php?gadget=StaticPage&action=Page&id=12/. Perhaps this church could confirm that George Bird was the pastor there in 1902 and whether Luther and Inez were members.
