CARPENTER'S IN DEFIANCE COUNTY, OHIO

First I want to say that the Carpenters (far as i know) is not my family line. But I am seeking information on a William Carpenter and his wife Elizabeth in Defiance County, Ohio. They had 4 known daughters Drucillia (married a John Smith), Angelica (married twice William Barnes and John Deitrich/Deitick), Joanna and Susanna.

They also adopted or had guardianship on a Ida Hoy. She was a sister to my Great Grandfather Frank Hoy. In the 1880 Ohio Census for Defiance County in Richland Twp she was listed with Elizabeth Carpenter in the home of Elizabeth's daughter Angelica and Son in Law John Deitrich/Deitrick. William must of died by then. I am trying to find out what happened to Ida. By the time she got older she might of started using the name Carpenter instead of Hoy. I am hoping to be able to find information on her so I can fill in the missing piece of my family tree. Her real father is a David Hoy from Defiance. Any help would be appreciated. If you need to ask questions for further info you can contact me at Pooky4830@aol.com, I will do my best to try to answer your questions.
