Erie St cemetery was moved from downtown Cleveland. It was on public square many years ago. It was where the bank is now. THE BANK WAS BUILT OVER THE CEMETERY. Many of the people that were in the old cemetery were moved to other cemteries. Erie st. cemetery is now on E. 9th st. and now owned by the city.
My uncle was buried with his family at the public square cemetery and the family was moved to Woodland cemetery and he was moved to E. 9th st. Erie cemetery.
Many of the tombstones were damaged or replaced with flat tombstones. The only place there are records is city hall or the library on Franklin and W 25th st. If you need more info please email me
Hope this helps Gloria Neal
