Cleveland Newspapers 50's-Senior Pictures
Posted by: Judy Davison Date: October 16, 2001 at 15:36:52

Will somebody please help jog my memory? I remember that one of the Cleveland papers, either the Plain Dealer or the Press, used to publish photos of graduating seniors back in the 50's or 60's. I'm trying to find pictures of the class of 1953, John Adams High School.

Having failed to locate a class yearbook, I'm going to try viewing the newspapers on microfilm at CPL. Does anyone remember seeing these full-page ads, one school featured each time, with individual senior pictures? Which newspaper published them, how often (a certain day each week?), what years, etc?

It would be a great help if I could determine in advance which paper to search. Someone told me he wasn't sure, but he thought it was the Cleveland Press.

Thanks very much.
