Connells in Cleveland, OH

My great-great grandfather, John J. Connell, was a Cleveland city patrolman who was born around 1862 and died March 16, 1918 at 1277 East 60th Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County OH. His wife, Sarah (nee Costello) was born around 1864 and was naturalized in 1874 and lived with her husband and HER mother, Mary Costello (nee Bayne?) at the above address. Sarah died March 25, 1940. I have no records of John J. Connell's father, which is where I am stuck. Source: from the 1910 Census Miracode Index. (Note: I also need to know what happened to Thomas Francis Connell, John's son, after he was honorably discharged from the Navy in January 1919 in Virginia).
