Joseph Rowe of 1830-50

I have just recently found that my great great grandfather Joseph Rowe lived in Cuyahoga county. I have been searching and searching but in Lorain county where he married Rebecca Wellman.
I believe he came to the Ohio area around 1828 or perhaps later. He was married in 1841.
Is there anyone who has access to records in Cuyahoga or can tell me about the history of Cuyahoga county.
His father was either Joseph Rowe and Eleanor Irish Rowe his mother or his father was Samuel Rowe. I have two different sources that I am trying to determine which is correct.
Rebecca was the daughter of Samuel Wellman who came from ME to OH in 1825.
Rebecca and Joseph had three children born in OH. Nancy, Hannah and Robert.
The Wellman's were related to Fullers and Taylers.
Any help greatly appreciated
