I realize this is totally off the wall, and I know that you mentioned Cuyahoga County, but is it at all possible that "Gresham, O" is Gresham, Oregon? One of your e-mails indicated that the typed info was Gresham, O. Could the "O" be Oregon instead of Ohio?
Gresham is a suburb of Portland, Oregon. I looked for Gresham, Ohio in a 1927 Ohio Atlas and found nothing close. An old map of the Cleveland area, also has no listing for Gresham. Just a thought.
